Privacy statement

Dromenbouw takes your privacy seriously. This statement explains which personal data we process, for what purpose, how long we keep it and what rights you have. This is a translation of our Dutch privacy statement; in the event of any discrepancy, the Dutch version prevails.

Who are we?

Dromenbouw is a renovation company and contractor based in Eindhoven, working throughout Noord-Brabant. We are the controller for the processing of your personal data as described in this statement.

What data do we process?

We only process data you provide yourself, mainly through the contact and quote form on our website, and when you call us, e-mail us or send a message or photo via WhatsApp:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • The content of your message or question
  • For a quote request: the project address, the work you want done and its description, the preferred period and (if you fill it in) a budget indication
  • The photos and any document (PDF) you send with a quote request, for example of your home or a building drawing

We also process technical data recorded automatically when you visit our website, such as your IP address and browser type, solely to keep the website working correctly and securely.

What do we use your data for?

We use your data solely to:

  • answer your request or question and get in touch with you;
  • prepare a quote and deliver our services;
  • keep the website functioning properly and securely.

The legal basis is your consent and/or the performance of a contract, including steps taken at your request before entering into one.

How long do we keep your data?

We keep your data no longer than necessary for the purposes it was collected for. Enquiries that do not lead to an assignment, including the photos and documents sent with them, are kept for a maximum of 12 months. Data relating to an assignment is kept as long as necessary and to meet our statutory (tax) retention obligation of 7 years.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data. We do use service providers that process data on our behalf (processors):

  • Resend — delivers the e-mails our website sends: your request to us and your confirmation to you;
  • Telegram — sends us a short notification on our phone as soon as you submit a form (your name, contact details, project address and your message, without photos), so we can respond quickly;
  • Cloudflare — hosting and security of the website;
  • Google (Workspace) — our business email;
  • Google Analytics — visitor statistics, only if you give consent (see "Cookies" below).

These parties process your data solely on our instructions.

WhatsApp. Using the WhatsApp button on our website, you can send us a message or photo directly. That is your own choice. WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. (Meta), which applies its own privacy policy. Messages are end-to-end encrypted; Meta may, however, process data about the use, such as your phone number, outside the EU as well. We only use your WhatsApp messages and photos to answer your question and prepare a quote, and keep them as long as other requests.

Transfers outside the EU

Resend is based in the United States and Telegram outside the European Union. This means the e-mails containing the details, photos and documents you send through our forms, and the short notification to us via Telegram, are transferred to a country outside the European Economic Area, where the level of protection differs from that within the EU.

Would you rather avoid that? Call or email us directly at hq@dromenbouw.nl or +31 6 30405888. Your data then does not pass through the form and stays within the EU.

Cookies

This website uses Google Analytics to see how many visitors the site gets and via which pages. This only happens if you give consent in the cookie notice shown on your first visit. If you decline, or do nothing, no cookie is placed and your visit is not measured.

There is no advertising pixel and no other form of tracking on this site.

The fonts are loaded from our own server rather than through Google Fonts, so your IP address is not shared with Google simply because you visit the site.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. For example, all traffic to and from our website runs over a secure (HTTPS) connection.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

  • Access — to ask which data we hold about you;
  • Rectification — to have incorrect data corrected;
  • Erasure — to have your data deleted;
  • Restriction — to have the processing temporarily halted;
  • Objection — to object to the processing;
  • Data portability — to receive your data in a common format or have it transferred;
  • Withdrawal of consent — where the processing is based on consent.

Eén e-mail naar hq@dromenbouw.nl is enough. We respond as soon as possible, and within four weeks at the latest.

We do not take decisions based on automated processing or profiling.

Filing a complaint

Not satisfied with how we handle your data? You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Changes

We may update this privacy statement from time to time. The most current version is always on this page.
